These two locos are recent arrivals and are a personal favourite (you can think pet project, or crazy dream) of the owner. They’ll be used in freight and special service service as needed, often paired with the GP38-2s mentioned elsewhere.
Picked up sometime ago, and loaned out to a tourist railroad, they’ve come due for a major rebuild. So the
Fat Controller Boss has asked the workshop foreman Sid and the head mechanic Crank to put them through the Sebastopol Shops regeneration line.
They’ll work the Hunter Valley’s Shortline Subsidiaries as necessary and be brought back for special events as needed – like when the boss needs to go on holidays and he takes his train with him.
