This is the Bachmann 70-Tonner locomotive, with DCC but without sound. I bought two of these models before leaving the USA in 2006 intending to name them after my kids. It’s taken a while to get to them. Having come through the workshop finally, I’ll be weathering them both, adding cabside numbers (numbered after my kid’s birthdates) and adding the names also. Check them out in the galleries below:

Very pleased with the way the oils have come out on the 70 Tonner.
Weathering continues on the GE 70-Tonner. More oil filters, and work on the stack and greasy oil deposits from the exhaust. More to come once this lot has dried.
The driver’s side is no slouch either, and the rust marks from each of the windows while very subtle makes the windows I think.
I was very pleased with the staining from the exhaust on the fireman’s side of the body.
The exhaust stack is very pleasing.
There’s a variety of tone, highlights and shades
