A little history
The Victorian Railways T class are a class of diesel locomotives built by Clyde Engineering, Granville for the Victorian Railways between 1955 and 1968. Being designed for the state’s numerous branch lines they fill a place similar to the NSWGR’s 48 class. Being used in a similar fashion behind larger diesel locomotives or in multiple on mainline freight services.
