I love public transport. I’ve been a rider since I was very young in Sydney, so I grew up around our ‘sparks’, diesel and steam locomotives. I was lucky enough to have an uncle who drove the Sydney suburban network too. So riding the footplate of a suburban steam locomotive on the Richmond line in the late 1960s was a real high and a privilege.
Trams are another facet of my fascination. As a Melbourne tram driver, I’ve been lucky to have access to places many other people never get to visit. Contained here are some images for you to enjoy.
