The last-minute photograph

It was very cold last night, and I thought as you do that I’d pop outside to see the sky, and to see if mother moon was out. The backyard was bathed in that soft grey light, with ethereal shadows, and so I raced in to gather up the camera and grab a couple of shots before the clouds rolled in.

And here they are:

Shot 1: Alone in the heavens, and yet so close. The most sad shot I feel

Shot 2: Still alone, but a slightly larger view of our moon.

Shot 3: It is always interesting to see how the camera interprets the light from the moon

Shot 4: The clouds were moving in and once again the moon has changed its spots

Shot 5: A quick gap in the clouds, and what I think is the best of all of the shots

Shot 6: I hope to see a human outpost up there soon – the moon up close and personal.
