East Austin

Before it’s gentrification and redevelopment East Austin had a large rail infrastructure. From power stations fed by coal to switching areas and the link into the downtown area on 4th Street there was a lot to see. Sadly much of this infrastructure is gone as the city has transformed itself and the population has grown. Much of Austin’s 20th century industrial history has been lost too. Luckily, I have some images from my time there during the late 1990s and the early to mid 2000s. I’ll share the galleries as I upload them.
